How these numbers are counted
  • Live. Every figure is read from production when the page loads, and again every minute while the tab is open. App Store Connect lags a day or two; this does not. The page reads through a database role that can see counts and dates but no names, emails, phone numbers or message text.
  • Customers leaves out accounts with complimentary access (founders, family, reviewers) and any account listed in ANALYTICS_EXCLUDED_USER_IDS. Everyone counts every live account. Paid subscriptions count in both, because money is money.
  • New accounts are sign-ups in the new app or on the website. Accounts carried over from old Jeani or Bellum are not new.
  • Set a goal is the moment onboarding counts as done: the account's first goal.
  • New subscriptions are App Store or Stripe production subscriptions first seen on a new account. Changes (trials, conversions, renewals, cancellations, failed payments, refunds) are recorded from 16 Sep 2026, when the subscription log began; subscriptions from before that show as "first seen". Sandbox and TestFlight purchases never count. Old-app accounts' subscriptions are shown apart: some were carried over, some are new trials, and nothing on file tells them apart.
  • People active are people who messaged Jeani (text, app, voice or watch note), opened an instrumented app build, or opened the app to today's read. Daily bars count each person once a day.
  • Comparisons are with the window just before, cut at the same clock time: this morning against yesterday morning, never against a whole day. A window that starts before a record began gets no comparison.
  • Model spend is the cost ledger (every model request) plus ElevenLabs voice minutes, in US dollars. It is what we pay, not what customers pay us.
  • Revenue and MRR come from Apple's own record of every charge, read from the App Store Server API every ten minutes: the price each customer paid, in their currency, with refunds taken off on the day they happened. MRR spreads each subscription's current paid period over its months (an annual plan counts a twelfth); trials and free offer-code periods count nothing. MRR and revenue are gross: what customers pay, before tax and Apple's cut. Take-home, what Jeani keeps and the basis of "after AI costs", is an estimate: the customer price less VAT where the storefront includes it, less Apple's commission (15% on the Small Business Program unless APPLE_COMMISSION_RATE says otherwise). Amounts are in US dollars at the European Central Bank's rates. Subscribers from the old app who have not opened the new one are not counted yet (only subscriptions claimed in the new app are known here), so App Store Connect can read higher; Apple's exact proceeds, downloads and impressions stay there.
  • References such as c2bf4f are the start of an account id, so one person's steps can be followed without a name on the page.
